Allow intervention comments when adding via a group

If you have a workaround, can you explain it?

Current workaround is you can add intervention and demerit comments via the bulk award button on timetabled classes.

Thank you - this is very useful indeed. I haven't heard many schools using demerits and interventions in this way before, but I can see why they might. We'll take this forward for future consideration - in the meanwhile feel free to share this suggestion with others in case they want to vote to push it up our list for consideration or add any further useful information.

    Thanks again for your help!

Thanks Ben. I appreciate you coming back to this and changing the request.

    (1) We have chosen not to share demerits so that we can record all the little behaviours as a school that we do not want to go home. This means that sharing details of the demerit needs to be done at the intervention stage instead.

    (2) Also, without centralised detentions, we need the facility to add more detail to the intervention to pass on the room and exact timings.

You will know better than me how many schools have decided not to share demerits with students/parents, and so how useful (1) would be other schools.

I would expect that other schools would find (2) useful if they too don't run centralised detentions (using the comments to add the extra detail is the work around suggested by the epraise team).

    Thanks for the continued support.

Ah I see, appologies! So as you say, intervention comments are designed to be added afterwards - for example if a student is late to an intervention or doesn't complete any required actions within that intervention.

    In general...

A demerit comment should contain details of what the student did wrong
An intervention comment should contain details relating to that intervention (e.g. the what happened in the detention/catch up/session, not what happened beforehand)

I'll update the details of this card though to represent the suggestion you make and mark it as for future consideration, although I don't think this is something we're likely to change in the short term at least.

I think that the original request should have been reworded as "Add intervention comments when setting an intervention on the epraise app or clicking on a student picture (as part of a group)"i.e. add intervention comments when not using bulk award or the cogs button

Since requesting this, it has been noted that the comments are intended to be filled in after the intervention has occurred. Therefore, it maybe should read, "Add intervention detail (for those schools that do not share demerits information with student) that is available when setting an intervention on the epraise app or clicking on a student picture"

The 'actions' (cogs button), should allow you to award these things directly to a student
