Wants to know if milestones can be deleted once they have been awarded
Is it something that could be looked at down the line? I imagine the rule could be adjusted
to 'show milestone only if student is at X amount of points or above,' rather than the current system, which seems to be 'award milestone if student hits X amount of points and leave it there even if they lose the requisite amount of points for the milestone.'
For further information, what I'm doing is 'tricking' the system somewhat. I have a system where students are awarded for taking part in clubs, events, etc. I'm using milestones as a way of showing them (and their parents) what they have achieved. They need 4 different bronze or silver elements for their overall bronze or silver award. Basically, I've set it so that giving them 1 point towards any element or award gives them the milestone, however in this example:
someone has given this girl her silver award, but she hasn't earned it yet. I can delete the point that triggered the milestone being given, but the milestone symbol still shows. It's this bit that I want to be able to change.
Hi there and thanks for your suggestion!
Have you tried the "Refresh Milestones Achieved" option under Admin > Milestones? This should remove any milestones from students that have not yet achieved them.
Be a little bit careful as this will send parent/student notifications (if these are switched on), if students are awarded a new milestone in this process (for example, if you've recently added some milestones, or changed the calculation dates in Site settings).
