Classroom layout template

For teachers to be able to share layouts for classrooms. So for example when they go into room 1, if another teacher has already created the layout for this room they can use that template and just add the names of their students in.

    Whilst we dont have a way to set up templates, it is possible to select a layout created by someone else.

    If you choose 'Existing layout', when selecting an initial layout, or when changing the current layout, you can select the member of staff and then the named seating plan that you wish to use.


    Once this is selected, we will then do the following:

    1. If there are any students in the old layout that are also in the current group, put those students in their old seats.

    2. If there are students remaining, that were not in the old layout, use the remaining seats from the old layout that are not already assigned

    3. If there are any students remaining, because there was not enough students with seats in the old layout, stack these students at the top left of the new layout, so the teacher can move them to somewhere appropriate.
