Improve Read Message Button Error Handling

When a student contacts a member of staff through ePraise, the “Message Notification” email includes a Read Message button. Currently, if the staff member is not logged into ePraise, clicking this button results in an error message that does not explain how to resolve the issue.

The request is to make an improvement to this behaviour. Specifically:

  • The user interface should clearly inform the user that they must be logged into ePraise to access the message, or

  • The system should automatically redirect the user to the ePraise login page if they are currently logged out.

This adjustment would prevent confusion and make it clearer how users can access messages without encountering an unexplained error.

Hi there, we think this is likely due to the link in the emails being scanned by software at your school. We're looking into ways to avoid this, but most schools have been able to adjust their settings to stop links in emails from noreply@notifications.epraise.co.uk from being scanned.
